Suad Husni

Suad Husni (1942 - June 22, 2001) was an Egyptian actress, from Syrian origins, and one of the most influential people in the Arabic art world. After climbing to stardom towards the end of 1950s, she performed in more than 75 films between 1959 and 1991. She died at the age of 59 after falling from the window of her flat in London, while she was under therapy for depression.

Lang made twenty-one features in the next twenty-one years, working in a variety of genres at every major studio in Hollywood, occasionally producing his films as an independent. Upon his arrival in Hollywood, Lang joined the MGM studio and directed the impressive crime drama Fury.

M remains a powerful work; it was remade in 1951 by Joseph Losey, but this version had little impact on audiences, and has become harder to see than the original film.
