Philip Carey (born July 15, 1925) is an American actor.

Carey has made appearances in the hit movie, Monster (1979), and the television series Little House on the Prairie. He is perhaps known for his role as the protective patriarch, Asa Buchanan on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live, a role he has been portraying since 1979.

He is perhaps known for his role as the protective patriarch, Asa Buchanan on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live, a role he has been portraying since 1979. He was born in Petersburg, Virginia and died in Palm Springs, California from complications of throat cancer at the age of 88. Carey has made appearances in the hit movie, Monster (1979), and the television series Little House on the Prairie.
