Peter Scolari

Peter Scolari (born September 12, 1954 in New Rochelle, New York) is an American televison, film and stage actor Who was seen early in his career in the television program Bosom Buddies (1980 - 1982) and later in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show (1997 - 2000).

Biography

Scolari's boyhood dream was to be a professional baseball player but he seriously injured his elbow and was unable to play. His first acting role was in his high school production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

His most critically acclaimed role was playing Michael Harris (1984 - 1990) in the series Newhart (1982 - 1990). Scolari was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 1987, 1988 and 1989 for the role.

Scolari has married twice. First to Debra Steagal in 1986. They divorced in 1996. He married actress Cathy Trien on October 12, 1998 and the couple has two children.

He married actress Cathy Trien on October 12, 1998 and the couple has two children. The ranch has since been acquired by the National Park Service as the Peter Strauss Ranch. They divorced in 1996. Strauss also runs a successful citrus production business and is on the advisory board of the Los Angeles Arboretum. He donated a ranch property to the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy. First to Debra Steagal in 1986. He also starred in the 1970 film Soldier Blue. Scolari has married twice.
