Matt LeBlanc (born July 25, 1967 in Newton, Massachusetts, USA) is an American actor. He is best known for playing the role of Joey Francis Tribbiani on the TV sitcom Friends.

LeBlanc has also appeared in some well-known Hollywood films including Lost in Space, Charlie's Angels, and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

In 2004 LeBlanc started his own TV series Joey based on the character he played in Friends.

He has also starred in several lesser or less successful films including The Killing Box (1993), Ed (1996), and Lookin' Italian (1998)

At about this time he changed his name, drawing "Gavin" from a cerebral palsy victim in a TV drama, and "MacLeod" from his Ithaca drama coach Beatrice MacLeod. After serving in the Air Force, he moved to New York City and worked at Radio City Music Hall while looking for acting work. Born as Allan See in Mount Kisco, New York, he grew up in Pleasantville and studied acting at Ithaca College, graduating in 1952.
