Laurence Harvey

During the 1950s and 1960s, he starred in several major films, including Butterfield 8, The Alamo, Darling and The Manchurian Candidate. His role in The Fugitive won him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. His first major role was in Room at the Top, for which he received a Best Actor Oscar nomination. In the 1990s, movies such as The Fugitive costarring Harrison Ford and Men in Black with Will Smith brought him tens of millions of dollars and made him one of the top actors of Hollywood. He enrolled in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and from there moved to stage and film stardom. In 1983 he received an Emmy for Best Actor for his performance as Gary Gilmore in The Executioner's Song. He grew up in Johannesburg, moving to London in 1946, at age 16. Mark Toland on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live, then he played the role of an escaped convict that was hunted down by the police in Jackson County Jail (1976).

Born Laruschka Mischa Skikne in Joniskis, Lithuania, he immigrated to South Africa at the age of 5. Between 1971 and 1975, he portrayed Dr. Laurence Harvey (October 1, 1928 - November 25, 1973) was a Lithuanian-born actor. He started acting on Broadway and he made his debut in Love Story. He then moved to New York City to become an actor. in English literature and graduated cum laude in 1969.
