Lalaine Vergara-Paras (born June 3, 1987 in Burbank, California) is a young actress who is a native of Manila, Philippines; she normally is credited by her first name only. Lalaine played "Miranda Isabella Sanchez" on Disney Channel's highly-rated show, Lizzie McGuire, alongside Hilary Duff. Lalaine grew up in California. She is a Eurasian of three quarters Filipino and one quarter Spanish descent.

Lalaine's road to stardom began when she was she was hanging out with Nikki Alberto and she found a job at the Broadway production of Les Miserables. In it, she played Eponine, a character that has also been played by Debbie Gibson among others.

When Lalaine returned to California, she was able to act in several television commercials, including some of those for Microsoft and Burger King. She also participated in a theater play in her home state, called Brundibar.

Lalaine's voice has been used for many movies, including Inspector Gadget and Lolita. She also played orphan "Kate" in the Disney Channel version of the movie Annie. She starred alongside AJ Trauth in the Disney Channel original movie You Wish as "Abby". Lalaine also portrayed "Chloe", a young Slayer-In-Training who commits suicide, on the hit TV-Series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

In addition to her acting career, Lalaine is involved in many charity events, such as the AIDS benefit concert and NSYNC's challenge for the youth.

On July 8, 2003, Lalaine released her new independent album,"Lalaine: Inside Story". Lalaine wrote six songs on the album herself, including "Life is good","Can't Stop", and "Save Myself". She has been working with Radio Disney, performing her songs all over Southern California, and went to Hawaii with Disney's Imagineers. For six months Lalaine's song "You Wish", written for the movie of the same name, was in the Top 30 Radio Disney songs.

For six months Lalaine's song "You Wish", written for the movie of the same name, was in the Top 30 Radio Disney songs. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and in 1994, she was honored with her image on a United States postage stamp designed by caricaturist Al Hirschfeld. She has been working with Radio Disney, performing her songs all over Southern California, and went to Hawaii with Disney's Imagineers. They had two children: a daughter, Ann Gallery, and a son, Don Gallery (ne Marvin Carville La Marr), whom they adopted after the death of his mother, actress Barbara La Marr. Lalaine wrote six songs on the album herself, including "Life is good","Can't Stop", and "Save Myself". Pitts was married to actor Tom Gallery from 1920 to 1932. On July 8, 2003, Lalaine released her new independent album,"Lalaine: Inside Story". She was interred at Holy Cross Cemetery, Culver City.

From the 1940s through the early 1960s ZaSu Pitts also made numerous television appearances, including her role in The Gale Storm Show, Oh! Susanna (1956-1960), with Gale Storm. When Mae Questel was called on to create the screen voice of the character "Olive Oyl" for the Fleischer Studios animated cartoon version of the comic strip "Popeye", Questel created a caricature of Zazu Pitts' voice. She also played orphan "Kate" in the Disney Channel version of the movie Annie. When Hollywood switched to talkies, Pitts, who had a distinctive nasal voice with a wavering vibrato, switched to comedy character actor roles.
