Jenny McCarthy

Ten years after she was featured as a Playmate, she posed again for Playboy and will appear in the January 2005 issue. In 2004 she played the lead female role in the television production of The 4400, one of the year's biggest successes. McCarthy wrote and starred in the feature film "Dirty Love" which will premiere at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. Her subsequent acting roles in films such as Deep Blue Sea (1999) and Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (2002) failed to establish her in Hollywood. The couple have a son, Evan, who was born May 18, 2002. With this success she ventured to the United States and secured a Green Card, as a "Person of Extraordinary Ability". The couple separated and McCarthy married John Mallory Asher on September , 1999. She received Australian Film Institute Award nominations for her roles in Stark, This Won't Hurt a Bit (both 1993), The Battlers and Traps (both 1994) before winning two awards in 1995 for "Best Actress in a Television Drama" for Halifax f.p: Lies of the Mind, and "Best Actress in a Lead Role (movie)" for Angel Baby.

McCarthy had a relationship with Ray Manzella who was also her manager. McKenzie made her film debut in the 1987 film Wordplay, made a strong impression in Romper Stomper (1992), and over the next couple of years came to be regarded as one of Australia's most promising young actresses. McCarthy is the author of Jen-X (1997), an autobiography, and Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth About Pregnancy and Childbirth (2004). Jacqueline Susan McKenzie (October 24, 1967 in Sydney, Australia) is a film and television actress. She has also appeared in the movies Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead (1995), The Stupids (1996), BASEketball (1998), and Scream 3 (2000). McCarthy had two short-lived television series; The Jenny McCarthy Show, a variety show, and Jenny, a sitcom.

She became a popular success on the series due to her good looks and sense of humor. In 1995, McCarthy was hired by MTV to co-host a new series Singled Out. She was chosen to be the centerfold in the October 1993 issue and was subsequently named Playmate of the Year in 1994. Ironically, her success as a model led to her quitting college and moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in show business. In an attempt to make money for college, she submitted her picture to Playboy magazine.

In 1992, McCarthy was studying nursing at Southern Illinois University. A Catholic, Jenny graduated from Mother McAuley Liberal High School and was named MVP of her softball and field hockey teams.
