Jane Asher

Now well known as the author of recipe books, Jane Asher runs a company making novelty cakes for special occasions, and still acts on television and in the theatre. Bullock publicly donated $1 million twice to the American Red Cross, first to its Liberty Disaster Relief Fund and again over four years later, in response to the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunamis. They have three children. The builder denies any wrongdoing and is appealing the verdict. In 1971 she met the illustrator Gerald Scarfe, and they married ten years later in 1981. In October 2004, she won a multi-million-dollar judgment in a lawsuit against Benny Daneshjou, the builder of her Lake Austin, Texas mansion, a home in which she has never lived, claiming it is uninhabitable. Asher appeared in Roger Corman's The Masque of the Red Death in 1964, and Alfie, opposite Michael Caine in 1966. She is dating motorcycle builder and Monster Garage host Jesse James and has also dated Troy Aikman, Matthew McConaughey and Ryan Gosling. Her brother Peter was part of the duo Peter & Gordon, for whom McCartney penned the number one hit A World Without Love. Bullock is single and has no children. She inspired many of McCartney's best songs, such as Here, There and Everywhere and For No One. Bullock attended Washington-Lee High School where she was a cheerleader and was voted "Most Likely to Brighten up Your Day" by her class. In 1963, Asher interviewed The Beatles, and then commenced a five year relationship with Paul McCartney. She started singing as a child in Germany, where she also studied ballet and performed small parts in her Mother's operas.

After some roles as a child actress, including an appearance in the 1955 science-fiction film The Quatermass Xperiment, she worked as an interviewer on the BBC's Juke Box Jury.
