Glynis Johns

Glynis Johns is regarded as one of the most beautiful women of all time and has been the subject of countless magazine covers and pin-up posters throughout her career. She is working with rock songwriter Linda Perry, among others. She has been married four times, including a marriage to Anthony Forwood, father of her son Gareth and the former manager to Sir Dirk Bogarde. Lewis is currently preparing to launch a career as a solo singer and musician. Able to undertake any role and with a career spanning seven decades, Glynis Johns is often cited as the "complete actress". She received an Emmy nomination for her performance in My Louisiana Sky in 2001. She also is a trained pianist and singer. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1992 for Cape Fear.

Glynis Johns is an accomplished dancer, and was actually qualified to teach ballet at the age of ten. She has appeared in over forty films and made-for-TV movies. The song, "Send in the Clowns", was written with her in mind, and in 1973 she won a Tony award for her role in the musical. She wanted to act since she was six years old, and got her start in TV at the age of twelve. She has also appeared on television and on stage, most memorably in Stephen Sondheim's musical, A Little Night Music. Her father is actor Geoffrey Lewis and her mother a graphic designer.
