He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for Amadeus, and has appeared in such other films as The Big Fix, Scarface, The Ritz, The Name of the Rose, An Innocent Man, The Bonfire of the Vanities, Last Action Hero and Star Trek: Insurrection. This model was later donated to scientists. Although his filmography is not large, he has always turned in competent performances. An anatomically-correct computer model of Kevin Bacon's entire body was made for the movie Hollow Man. He began his acting career on the stage, making his stage debut in a Los Angeles staging of Ray Bradbury's The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit. The number of such links that must be followed between an actor and Kevin Bacon is known as that actor's Bacon number. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania of Italian/Syrian heritage, Abraham attended the University of Texas, then studied acting under Uta Hagen in New York. There is a game known as the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, in which players are challenged to link any actor to Kevin Bacon through roles in movies common to both.
